London _ Southwark _ Restaurant
Restaurant Story
CityHood's Review
Concept
Housed in what was once a Victorian public lavatory site, this Michelin-starred restaurant is a feast for the imagination. Every dish on the menu, which has been concocted by respected chef Tom Sellers, tells its own story – as the name suggests.
Food
Fresh, seasonal British produce at its best. The food is amazing, and the menu is full of exciting surprises.
We Love
As part of the menu, you’ll try the “bread and dipping”, where you’ll be presented with an edible beef dripping “candle” that melts to leave behind a pool of delicious dripping for you to mop up with soda bread. Mmm!
Price
6 courses for £65; 10 for £85, or a 3-course lunchtime menu for £35
Tips
Contribute to the ‘Story’ yourself; when you visit, take a book along to leave behind (and maybe scrawl a note to the next person who picks it up!).
